We are seeking a Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in Vermont, beginning Dec 22, 2025, for a 5-day solo coverage opportunity. This position involves 24-hour on-site shifts with night call, providing comprehensive care in a hospital setting with an average daily census of 6.9 patients. The ideal candidate will be confident practicing autonomously, comfortable performing key procedures, and experienced in emergent situations.

Responsibilities and Duties
Provide solo hospitalist coveragePerform patient admissions and daily roundingManage swing beds included in the acute bed countPerform required procedures : vent management, central lines, lumbar puncture, paracentesis / thoracentesis, intubationsHandle emergent intubations and ventilator managementUtilize Meditech EHR for all charting and documentationCoordinate transfer of critical patients to higher-level care as neededAdditional Information
Must have at least 1 year of autonomous experience as a hospitalistBoard certification requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications requiredMust be licensed to practice in VermontExperience and proficiency with required procedures essentialAbility to work independently as the sole provider on siteBenefits
