Caregivers needed in greater Holyoke area, MA - day and evening shifts available, weekdays & weekends - senior in-home care, companion care, respite care, personal care, transfer assistance, transportation.

Your help is needed in your community! We're currently looking to fill shifts specifically in the greater Holyoke area, MA. Join our award winning team of senior home care professionals in the Springfield area. Our elderly clients need help around their homes with personal care, respite care, meal preparation and feeding, mobility assistance and transfers, light housekeeping duties, and companionship. You can make a difference in someones life today!

Visiting Angels is "America's Choice In Homecare!" We are a non-medical, private pay & VA senior provider operating since 1999. Our work culture is top notch. We have many caregivers that have been with us for several years.

Responsibilities :

Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles

Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care

Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor

Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert

Requirements :

1+ years of experience in direct care

Punctuality, reliability, compassion, patience, empathy

Strong ability to read, write, understand, and speak English so as to :

Read ADL's

Communicate verbally with clients, families, co-workers, and administrative staff

Vehicle or transportation

Valid MA Driver's License

Pass a background check

At least 2 professional references (not friends)

Be willing to accept at least 1 e / o weekend shift

Preferred :

HHA or CNA certification (not required, we work with applicants to get HCA certified)
