About the Role :
Ingersoll Auto of Danbury is seeking an experienced CDL Truck Driver to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor. This position requires the ability to safely operate a CDL-class vehicle and tow a trailer for transporting vehicles and equipment. The driver will support dealership operations by ensuring the timely and secure delivery of vehicles across multiple locations and partner sites.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely operate a CDL vehicle with towing capabilities, including trailers up to applicable weight limits
- Transport vehicles, trailers, and equipment between dealership locations and external partners
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers, ensuring compliance with DOT and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage
- Ensure vehicles are secured properly during transport
- Communicate effectively with dealership management regarding schedules, routes, and delivery updates
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while representing the dealership
Qualifications :
