Position Summary

As a Patient Care Technician , you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care, assist with clinical procedures, and support unit operations. This role includes hands‑on patient care, technical responsibilities such as phlebotomy and EKGs, and effective collaboration with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide age‑appropriate, compassionate care to patients.
• Monitor and record vital signs and other physiological indicators.
• Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, and elimination needs.
• Collect and label specimens; ensure timely delivery to appropriate departments.
• Perform Point of Care (POC) testing and assist with treatments and procedures.
• Support physicians and nurses during exams and simple procedures.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and emergency readiness protocols.
• Communicate respectfully and clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to support clinical and non‑clinical needs.
• Maintain equipment and document care activities accurately.
