Job Summary :
Monitor and assist in construction, maintenance, repair, and use of features in the terrain parks, halfpipes, and other locations as instructed. Manage all grooming operations within terrain parks and mainline runs. Supervise and schedule all Grooming staff. This assistant will be responsible for managing all resources contained within the department, and for daily input for all park builds including nightly plans. . Serve as department leader when Snow Surfaces Manager is absent.

Coordinate efforts in scheduling graveyard and swings shifts within the departmentAssist Freestyle Terrain Manager with design and construction of progressive Freestyle Terrain (FT)Assist Freestyle Terrain Manager with hiring , scheduling supervising and directing Terrain Park Staff and Grooming staffAssist Freestyle Terrain Manager with payroll for staffFill the duties of Lead Builder (Snowcat) and lead Groomer at NorthstarServe as the on the ground contact for all Marketing content. Including scheduling and executing day and night photo shoots.Serve as department leader in absence of Freestyle Terrain ManagerRepresent department at Mtn Ops Manager meetings, Snow Plan meetings, TEAM meetings, Safety Committee meetings, and other intracompany functions as requiredConduct and document weekly safety / service meetings and monthly facility inspectionsProvide comprehensive and timely reporting of park openings, closings, builds, feature counts for Snow Reporting and otherAct as a liaison to facilitate communication and coordination between North Star Team Riders, Terrain Park staff, and Marketing teamMonitor web and social media presence, and communicate / coordinate with Marketing, to ensure timely and quality content updatesInstall and maintain park signage, closures, jump markings and fencingInspect and assess all features in all parks prior to lifts openingProvide and supervise daily maintenance of terrain features as necessaryMonitor use of terrain features, inspect and assess at regular intervalsResponsible for guest relations, education and awareness in all terrain parksAssist with placement of manmade featuresMonitor rescue channel and assist with traffic control during codesPractice proper radio etiquetteSafely operate a snowmobileUse shovels and rakes to move snowDaily trash and debris pickup and removalEnsure all department logs are accurate and up to dateProvide I.I. team with requested documentsResponsible for snow removal and surface treatment at NorthstarOther duties as assigned by Freestyle Terrain ManagerJob Requirements :
Proficient Skier / RiderAbility to Ski / Ride all features in the parksFamiliarity with terrain park operations and theoryAbility to lift 75 poundsStrong communications skillsAbility to handle guest service issues in a professional mannerMicrosoft Word / Excel experience3 year Supervisory Experience2-3 years snowcat experience, with a focus on building terrain park features1-2 years welding, general construction, and earth moving equipment experienceThe expected pay range is $29.00 / hr - $37.44 / hr.
