The Safety Representative provides a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by observing and reporting potential concerns; completing incident reports, reporting unusual situations and potential illegal activity. Additionally, the Safety position will have some facilities support responsibilities.
The starting pay range for this position is $16.90-$20.50 per hour.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or relevant experience preferred.
Language Skills Ability to read, write and comprehend in English. Ability to effectively write business related correspondence and incident reports. Able to present information in one-on-one and in groups.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions; ability to problem solve with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills Must demonstrate proficient use of Microsoft Office, MS Word and MS Outlook as well as Incident Reporting and other campus software programs.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to both indoor and outdoor conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
