Licensed Vocational Nurse - Pediatric Clinic

Summary :

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide essential patient care under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses within a pediatric clinic environment. You will be integral to our team, ensuring high-quality care in accordance with established standards and practices. Your role may also include performing various lab procedures as needed based on your competencies.

Responsibilities :

• Demonstrate proficiency in the OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Under physician guidance, perform vital patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens (phlebotomy may be site-specific).
• Support healthcare providers in examining and treating patients, ensuring efficient patient flow within the clinic.
• Provide assistance with phone communications, record messages, and facilitate patient-related queries.
• Help schedule tests appointments, manage results, and conduct pre-certifications as necessary.
• Thoroughly document any relevant patient information.
• Assist providers with medication refills and requests.
• Administer medications and immunizations according to provider orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in exam rooms, adhering to all policies and procedures related to equipment sanitation and supply management.
• Perform routine clerical duties such as locating patient charts, filing, and completing necessary forms.
• Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and undertake additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
