Parks And Recreation Aide 4 - Finance Accounts Payable Aide

The Parks and Recreation Aide 4 - Finance Accounts Payable Aide will assist the Regional Business Officer or designee in the Regional Office and will be responsible for a variety of accounts payable tasks for the Taconic Region. Duties include but are not limited to :

  • Process payments and track inquiries using computer systems including the following tasks :
  • Reconciling vendor statements, regional revenue and attendance and track for vendor inquires.
  • Review and process all regional staff travel :
  • Includes approvals, data entry into the travel program and review of travel rates.
  • Review and manage regional concession program, including, RFPs, permits and RR&M accounts :
  • Data entry into agencywide concession management program
  • Assist RBOA with pre-season and post season concession meetings
  • Assist RBOA with the permitting process and standardizing all regional permits.
  • Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Required Skills / Abilities :
  • HS diploma
  • Preference will be given to those who demonstrate they have 2-year or 4-year College degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Candidate should be able to demonstrate their efficiency in Microsoft programs, especially, Outlook and Excel, other programs will be taught but having computer proficiency is a must.
  • OPERATIONAL NEEDS :
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
  • Be willing to train facility staff once proficient in the tasks.
