Beds : 110 total

Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? yes

Will you accept a first-time traveler? Possibly with LTC or SNF experience

Patient Types : Geriatrics, post-acute med / surgTCU is Transitional Care Unit. Patients on this unit will go from this unit to home, hospice, or LTC, similar to like a inpatient rehab unit.

Patient Ratios : LTC : 1 : 20 DAY, LTC 1 : 38 NOC TCU : 1 : 12 DAY and 1 : 15 NOC

Required Certifications : RN and LPN : BLS

Skills required : RN and LPN : medication pass, wound care, IV skills, catheter care, suctioning

CNA : cath care, dressings, using lifts and sit-to-stand, bathing, feeding, toileting, peri care, and transferring patients

Could be asked to take on a charge role. Must be comfortable doing this.

Support on the Unit : CNA (Ratio : ) 1 : 10 day, 1 : 18 noc Receptionist / HUC : yes during weekdays Charge nurse : Resident Care manager weekdays Phlebotomy? Yes from hospital IV / VAT Team? Yes from hospital RT : no Hospitalist : yes Medication Aide on the 1500-2300 shift6 nurses on Days and 4 nurses on Nights if facility at full census

Technology / Equipment : EMR : Meditech and Caretracker IV pumps : yes Medication dispensing : pyxis

Floating : Yes between TCU and LTC

Scrub Color : Navy Blue.
