At Children's Wisconsin, we believe that the healing process begins behind the scenes. As a Sterile Processing Specialist, you're the unseen hero ensuring every instrument is clean, safe and ready for action. If you have interest in contributing to this amazing mission apply NOW!

Prepares, inspects, assembles and sterilizes surgical instruments / equipment according to hospital and departmental procedures. Provides a continuous flow of sterile supplies, equipment and instrumentation to all areas of the hospital.

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills acquired through the completion of a high school education.
• One year experience as a Sterile Processing Tech preferred.
• Current Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) preferred with certification to be obtained no later than 18 months after hire.
• Analytical ability to learn and differentiate different types of instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to interact with physicians, nursing staff and patients / families.
• Ability to stand and maneuver equipment for extended periods of time.
• Knowledge of complex instrumentation preferred.
• Basic knowledge and skill of computer use.

2nd Shift Hours : 2 : 50pm-11 : 20pm

Must also participate in weekend and Holiday rotation.
