Forklift Operator - Weekend Shift

SCHEDULE Friday-Sunday 6 : 00 AM-6 : 00 PM

SUMMARY Responsible for operating sit-down industrial lift truck (forklift) and or electric ride-on or walk behind hand jacks to perform a variety of lifting and moving tasks within potato packing and shipping warehouses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Learn and perform specific safety and operational procedures for each type of forklift used in the warehouse; including daily inspection, changing of batteries and / or propane tanks, and troubleshooting of maintenance issues.
• Report any damage of truck before loading or unloading.
• Learn P.O. # system utilized in the potato packing shed as well as the inventory system, and utilizing scan guns to obtain inventory.
• Follow the Good Manufacturing Practices utilized in the potato packing shed.
• Depending upon area assigned on a daily basis, tasks could include but are not limited to :

Moving finished pallets away from packing lines / tote dumper
