Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : PCU / IMC Float Pool Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week Experience : 2 years License : Current RN license required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have : - Minimum of 2 years of PCU / IMC experience - Prior neuro experience preferred - Epic experience preferred - Experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and Ativan - Comfortable titrating and managing cardiac drips, insulin, Ativan, and heparin - Must be flexible to float within designated zone Description : We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our PCU / IMC Float Pool. This role requires the ability to float throughout various units within the designated zone. The successful candidate will work with a patient population that includes adults and geriatrics. Common diagnoses will include Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, and Renal among others. Nurse-to-patient ratios will range from 1 : 3 to 1 : 4 dependent on acuity. Designated Charge Nurses will be present, but may take a patient assignment when necessary. Clinical staff can expect to work with RT equipment such as vents, CPAP, and BiPAP. Weekend shifts will range between 6-9 in a 6-week schedule. Holidays may require participation in a rotation. The schedule is created by leadership for 6 weeks at a time, so flexibility is crucial. Clinicians will undergo 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation with a preceptor. Proper attire is required; any color scrubs may be worn.
