This position involves caring for a general ED population. You will handle trauma stabilization and patients with respiratory illnesses, strokes, acute myocardial infarction, uncontrollable diabetes, minor trauma, and more. The average census in the department is approximately 145 patients per day. Patient admission rate is between 25% and 30%. Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 : 3-4, depending on acuity. You will be required to float to other facilities as needed within the scope of practice. Support within the department includes multiple roles, ensuring efficient patient care. The department utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical record system and is equipped with advanced monitoring and communication technology.
