Description :

Home visits are required as part of this position.

Periodic office meetings will take place.

Reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and agency-required liability insurance are mandatory.

The average number of patients per day is 5-6.

Each type of visit and activity (documentation, travel, etc.) holds a different point value.

The contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day that equate to roughly 6-8 points.

In cases where the contractor is unable to meet financial needs due to low patient census, they should reach out to the manager to discuss floating to a nearby clinic to pick up hours.

Types of cases include Start of Care and Follow-Ups.

First-timers are not accepted; recent Home Health experience is mandatory.

Weekend requirements vary by location and profession and should be discussed during the interview.

On-call requirements vary by job / location.

Willingness to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic is necessary.

Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.

Travel distance is calculated from patient home to patient home; the commute to and from the first and last patient are not billable.

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.

Pending licenses are not accepted; candidates must have a license unless it takes a few days to obtain.

Candidates must understand that this is a home health assignment and they will be responsible for driving to patients' homes daily.

Candidates must confirm they have a vehicle, driver’s license, and auto insurance.

The mileage radius for this job may result in drives longer than 20 minutes between patients; candidates should consider this.

Candidates must accept every patient on their schedule, regardless of the distance from their previous appointment.

Declining patients may result in a cancellation.

Documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment with the patient.

Delayed and incomplete documentation that impacts billing and follow-up patient care will also result in a cancellation.

Candidates should understand that there are no guaranteed hours with this contract.

Weekly productivity points of 30 are required, equating to 40 hours per week.

All overtime must be pre-approved.

If candidates do not receive enough patients each week to support their financial needs, they will have the opportunity to float to another nearby clinic to pick up patients.
