Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer in Grand Rapids, MI ! In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. Your cross-functional team will be focused on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements.

    Where is the work :

    This position has been designated as onsite . The company has designated this role as safety sensitive.

    What you will do : \n

  • Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • \n

  • Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
  • \n

  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
  • \n

  • Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
  • \n

  • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
  • \n

  • Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
  • \n

  • Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
  • \n \n

    What you will bring :

    \n

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • \n

  • Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines
  • \n

  • Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design
  • \n

  • Effective communication at multiple levels coupled with ability to build relationships
  • \n

  • Growth mindset - desire to expand technical skillset
  • \n

  • Results-driven to maintain accountability and customer-focus
  • \n

  • PFMEA experience preferred
  • \n \n

    Compensation :

    Enter salary / hourly rate here $80,000 - $105,000
