Crew HR is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect for our client, Red Leaf Developments

SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

  • Are you ready to step into a senior leadership role where your vision shapes projects, your decisions inspire the team, and your influence leaves a lasting mark on the company’s legacy?

  • Do you light up at the idea of working on award-winning, one-of-a-kind projects alongside renowned architects and a team that feels like family?

  • Are you passionate about design, obsessed with the details, and inspired by the perfect blend of materials, form, and function?

  • Do you take pride in delivering work that reflects the highest standards of quality, creativity, and service, the kind you can’t wait to show off?

  • Can you lead with both energy and empathy, keeping your team focused, supported, and inspired to create their best work?

  • Are you skilled at bridging the gap between visionary artistry and real-world construction, bringing bold ideas to life without losing the magic?

  • Do you thrive in a team-focused environment where everyone brings their best?

ABOUT RED LEAF DEVELOPMENTS

Red Leaf Development specializes in luxury custom pool and landscape design and installation. Backed by award-winning experience, a reputation for eloquent design, service-oriented performance, and a commitment to environmental consciousness, you can expect unique and artistic solutions that are both sustainable and inspiring.

We are seeking a Senior Landscape Architect whose creative vision, technical expertise, and leadership will allow them to thrive in the world of luxury custom pool and landscape design. This role will oversee the entire design process—managing relationships with clients, mentoring a talented team, and collaborating with our construction experts—to deliver award-winning, sustainable, and inspiring outdoor spaces that reflect Red Leaf Development’s commitment to exceptional design and unparalleled service.

This is where you come in.

THIS IS FOR YOU IF:

  • You thrive on delivering exceptional work, holding yourself and your team to the highest standards of excellence.
  • You are a creative visionary who can balance innovation with practicality, ensuring every design is beautiful and functional.
  • You pride yourself on delivering a seamless customer experience, anticipating client needs, and ensuring they feel supported and heard every step of the way.
  • You enjoy the challenge of problem-solving on the go, adapting designs to client changes or unexpected site conditions without skipping a beat.
  • You’re an excellent communicator, building strong client relationships with ease while collaborating effectively with your team and trade partners.
  • You have a passion for creating outdoor spaces that inspire, combining artistry and craftsmanship with an eye for sustainability in design.
  • You have a natural ability to lead, mentor, and inspire your team, helping them grow and deliver their best work while winning awards in the process.
  • You are a thoughtful listener who takes the time to understand, learn, and collaborate before offering solutions.
  • You have an eagle eye for detail and a relentless drive for quality, guiding your team to meet design standards, budgets, and construction timelines with precision.
  • You know that design doesn’t stop at the drawing board, you’re right there in the build process, ensuring the vision comes alive exactly as imagined.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same, and you bring a spirit of fun, accountability, and continuous improvement to everything you do.
  • You bring a spirit of fun, accountability, and continuous improvement to everything you do.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE:

  • Acting as the lead designer and primary point of contact for 6-15 residential landscape design projects at a time at various stages, ensuring each meets Red Leaf Development’s standards of excellence.
  • Working collaboratively with sales associates, clients, architects, interior designers, and other design professionals to develop cohesive and personalized designs.
  • Building strong client relationships, listening to clients’ needs, educating them on design aspects, and ensuring their vision is translated into a successful, feasible project.
  • Consulting with manufacturers to evaluate and select materials and finishes like pool plaster, concrete patios, and outdoor kitchen features that align with each client’s needs and project feasibility.
  • Developing technical solutions and construction documents to ensure design integrity through all phases and supervising the preparation of architectural plans and renderings.
  • Preparing and managing project budgets and ensuring designs remain within scope while delivering exceptional quality.
  • Leading, mentoring, and guiding the design team to deliver high-quality, creative landscape designs that exceed client expectations while staying on time and within budget.
  • Establishing efficient workflows and processes for the team, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews to support their professional growth and uphold Red Leaf Development’s standards of excellence.
  • Balancing creativity with accountability. Holding firm to timelines, budgets, and deliverables while fostering innovation and maintaining our reputation for award-winning designs.
  • Leading design meetings both in-office and on-site, acting as a trusted advisor and guide throughout the design journey.
  • Delivering exceptional customer experiences. Responding promptly to client inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring 5-star service from project initiation to completion.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of experience in landscape design with a portfolio showcasing high-quality residential projects.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a design team, delivering exceptional results on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of landscape design principles, construction processes, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop
  • Proven ability to build strong client relationships, communicate effectively, and work confidently with high-end clientele.
  • Knowledge of high-end materials, construction costs, and designing luxury outdoor spaces.
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills with the ability to balance client vision and construction feasibility.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, with a commitment to precision, high standards, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel to client homes, typically within an hour of the office, as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

The nice to haves:

  • Licensed Landscape Architect in California.
  • Experience with SmartSheets, Sketch Up or BlueBeam
  • Previous experience working in an EOS environment.

THE BENEFITS

Step into a jaw-dropping, designer dream office that fuels your creativity every day, with the flexibility of working from home one day a week (hello, mid-week recharge). Collaborate with renowned, high-end architects on one-of-a-kind, award-winning projects. We’re talking multiple ASLA Residential Design Awards and the 2023 MAME Award for Best Residential Design!

Relocating? We’ll cover your move to make the transition seamless. Add to that three epic company events a year, professional development opportunities, and a team culture that blends drive, collaboration, and plenty of fun, and you’ve got more than just a job, you’ve got a place to do the best work of your life.

Best of all, you’ll be part of an amazing team who truly consider each other family, not in a “live at the office” way, but in a way that means you can have fun together, lean on each other, and feel supported every single day.

Compensation: $150,000 – $190,000 salary range, with flexibility to craft a package that makes sense for the right person. While we value rewarding talent with competitive pay, we know it’s also about more; the opportunity to lead, create, and be part of something exceptional.

If you are excited to take your career to new heights, apply today!

We request applicants submit a RESUME AND PORTFOLIO (PDF or website link) highlighting relevant work experience.
