HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Florence, South Carolina.

Title : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location : Florence, SC

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift, 3×12-Hour (06 : 45–19 : 15) Every Other Weekend

Floating : Yes – must be able to float within scope to all areas of the hospital, including Labor & Delivery

Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care across multiple patient populations, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Perform ventilator management, including CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, flow-by, troubleshooting alarms, and ventilator weaning.
  • Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation and perform basic EKG-related tasks.
  • Deliver and manage respiratory medications such as bronchodilators, inhaled steroids, nitric oxide
  • , Flolan, racemic epinephrine, and others.
  • Assist with airway management procedures including suctioning, intubation assistance, extubation, airway placement, and tracheostomy care.
  • Support respiratory care during emergency situations and critical care scenarios.
  • May assist in high-risk deliveries
  • and provide neonatal / pediatric respiratory support when necessary.
  • Manage oxygen therapy and medication delivery systems (e.g., MDI, nebulizers).
  • Document all patient care in the Epic charting system.
  • Float within hospital departments as needed to meet facility requirements.

    • Required Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
  • Travel experience required
  • Must have recent critical care experience
  • RRT only – CRT not accepted
  • Experience in adult critical care and emergency department required
  • Experience in NICU, pediatrics, PICU, and nitric oxide therapy preferred
  • Ability to manage patient ratios up to 1 : 8
  • Ability to perform duties independently in a community hospital environment

    • Required Certifications & Licensure

  • RRT (NBRC Certification)
  • South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
