Responsibilities
This position actively assists in the daily administration of insurance, surety, claims and risk management activities. This includes but is not limited to issuance of certificates of insurance, surety bonds, accrual reviews and billing reconciliations. In addition, this position has responsibility for management, administration of risk databases, various schedules, third-party software and systems.
Insurance Administration
Assist in the daily activities of the Risk Management Department
Assist with review of contracts, leases, agreements to ensure compliance with insurance requirements
Issue certificates of insurance as needed for compliance with various agreements / contracts, etc.
Coordinate with Brightstar’s Fleet Department to handle requests for Auto ID cards and address general inquiries as needed.
Assist with filing all supportive documents such as policies, agreements, certificates of insurance, etc.
Review and processing of all department invoices and billing
Assistance in the collection of data for insurance renewals
As needed, assist in the management of the global insurance program
Attend department meetings with internal and external partners
Surety Administration
Claims Administration
Provides support to the Director of Risk Management with management to claims (Auto, General Liability, Cargo & Property claims) for timely submission of claims to carriers.
Coordinate with internal colleagues with the collection of data to help with proper management of claims

Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in insurance / surety / risk management desired
Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Strong Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Programs, including Excel
Motivated self-starter with a logical, practical and creative mindset
Strong analytical and research skills
Strong team player; willingness to listen to and act on feedback
Understanding of multiple lines of property and casualty insurance a plus
Attention to detail is a must
Strong organizational skills a must
Rhode Island Insurance Producer license a plus
Associate / Bachelor’s degree preferred

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $60,989 - $200,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
