Health Resources in Action, Inc. (HRiA) is a non-profit organization working to improve and reimagine public health. We connect, consult, and collaborate to solve complex challenges of access and equity in our health and social systems. In 1957, The Medical Foundation (TMF) was created to primarily fund biomedical research in Massachusetts. Since then, we\'ve evolved. We changed our name to Health Resources in Action (HRiA) to reflect our impact in the field of public health. Today, HRiA works with individuals, organizations, and communities to drive a policy and systems change approach to advance health and racial equity.

HRiA seeks sustainable solutions for complex problems using an anti-racist approach. The Massachusetts Association of Community Health Workers (MACHW) is the professional association of Community Health Workers (CHWs) in Massachusetts dedicated to strengthening the workforce by creating and / or advocating for legislation and other policies that support the profession; advocating for recognition, integration, and fair compensation within the health and social service fields; and creating and supporting professional development opportunities for CHWs in the state. Under the guidance of an Advisory Board, MACHW works tirelessly on behalf of the estimated 6,000-plus CHWs in the state. MACHW was created in 2000 by a dedicated group of CHWs. In 2017, MACHW became fiscally sponsored by Health Resources in Action, Inc. (HRiA), to ensure sustainability.

Professional Experience

We are searching for a full-time Senior Manager of Training & Communications for the Massachusetts Association of Community Health Workers (MACHW), a fiscally sponsored program of Health Resources in Action. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the CHW workforce in Massachusetts and nationally. The candidate will manage a broad range of training and communication strategies for our members. The Manager has expertise in two distinct areas : training development and communications.
