Dual Inn / Lodge General Manager Job Description
Salary : $60K - $70K + 3% Commission + Bonus (Housing possibly included)
Location : Comfort, Texas
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Dual Hotel General Manager with a proven track record of success in sales and operations to oversee two hotel properties. This role is designed for a motivated leader who thrives in a multifaceted environment, balancing strategic sales initiatives with operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will spend approximately 60% of their time on sales-focused responsibilities , driving revenue opportunities and nurturing client relationships. The remaining time will be dedicated to managing day-to-day operations, fostering a results-driven team, engaging with guests to ensure outstanding service, and actively collaborating alongside staff to lead by example.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership (60%)
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue across both properties, focusing on key markets and business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event organizers, travel partners , and other stakeholders to secure repeat business and grow market share.
- Regularly analyze market trends, competitor performance, and financial data to identify new opportunities and areas for growth.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing efforts that showcase the unique value of the properties.
- Represent the hotels at industry events and networking functions to elevate brand presence and generate leads.
Operational Management (40%)
Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance , ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.Foster a guest-centric culture by developing and implementing strategies to consistently deliver exceptional service experiences .Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team , encouraging professional growth and promoting a collaborative, results-oriented atmosphere.Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations to align team efforts with property goals.Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance across all departments to uphold guest satisfaction and operational integrity.Leadership and Team Building
Inspire and lead teams through hands-on involvement in daily activities , acting as a role model of professionalism and positivity.Identify opportunities to empower team members , providing the resources and support they need to succeed in their roles.Resolve conflicts and challenges effectively, ensuring a unified and productive work environment.Guest Engagement
Actively interact with guests to gather feedback, resolve issues, and ensure their needs and expectations are exceeded.Develop and refine strategies to elevate guest satisfaction scores, fostering a loyal base of repeat clientele.Personalize guest experiences by remaining visible and approachable within the properties.Qualifications
Proven experience in hotel management , with a strong background in sales strategies and operational oversight.
