Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with both cardiac cath and neuro or vascular interventional experience for a dynamic acute care environment.
Responsibilities
Short-term acute care setting with adult patient populationCath Lab unit requiring experience in at least two of the following modalities : Cardiac Cath, Neuro, Interventional Radiology, or VascularResponsibilities may include scrubbing in procedures for multiple specialty areasCharting performed using Epic EMRDay shifts with a 4x10 hour schedule from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PMCall required on a case-by-case basisFloating required to sister hospitals within a 20-mile radius and within clinical scopeMust complete time-sensitive onboarding modules prior to start, recorded via SilkroadAll RTO must be disclosed before consideration; no additional RTO will be approved laterScrub attire is ceil blueFree parking available in unrestricted spacesAssignments at any single facility cannot exceed 18 consecutive months; a 6 month break is required before returning, subject to possible extension approvalMust not have open background check or license cases at time of considerationPermanent and per diem employees must wait 1 year from previous assignment end date before returningFirst-time travelers will be considered for this assignmentRequirements
Minimum 18 months of experience in Cath Lab, Neuro, Interventional Radiology, or Vascular modalities with preference for 2 yearsProficiency in at least two of the following : Cardiac Cath, Neuro, Interventional Radiology, or Vascular procedures must be clearly demonstrated in work historyCurrent BLS and ACLS (AHA) are requiredCertified or Registered Cardiovascular Technician (RCVT) or RCIS certification preferredPermanent Ohio license required for consideration; compact licenses accepted for starts dated 1 / 1 / 23 and forwardAll certifications must be current and active, not pendingTwo professional references from a supervisor in specialty within the past 12 months requiredNegative 10 panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen requiredMust be nicotine free (exception applies only to nurses and CSTs)ECG rhythm recognition and medication competency testing required during orientationLicense required if applicableBenefits
