Responsibilities Work in a medical rehabilitation unit within a trauma hospital Primary patient population is stroke, comprising approximately 40% of caseload Treat a maximum of 5 patients per day, typically 3-4 patients for 90 minutes each Patient ratio is 1 : 5 Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7 : 30am-4pm No weekend, on-call, or floating requirements Uses Cerner for charting Main responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of stroke and other rehab patients Team provides t-shirts for unit; do not wear blue, forest green, or maroon scrubs First-time travelers are welcome to apply Orientation is provided, with online modules to be completed prior to start Perm employees must wait 2 years after last date worked before returning as travelers Candidates currently working at any Vandalia Health System facility as perm, PRN, or similar are not eligible Requirements Current WV Physical Therapy (PT) license required prior to start; pending license accepted Minimum 1 year of recent acute care physical therapy experience required Current BLS certification required Must provide at least two manager or charge references from the past two years Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1st - March 31st) unless exempt with medical documentation Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; case-by-case review for those living 75-100 miles away Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629607.
