Exciting Opportunity : High School Spanish Teacher

As a High School Spanish Teacher at Uncommon Schools, you will play a pivotal role in shaping global citizens. Collaborating with grade-level and content teams, you will inspire and motivate students to master the Spanish language. Your classroom will be a vibrant space where students feel safe to express themselves and grow into confident communicators. By the end of high school, your students will be ready for academic autonomy and college preparatory work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Instruction

• Enhance students' bilingual skills and prepare them for Advanced Placement (AP) and collegiate-level coursework.
• Boost students' confidence in navigating authentic print and audio sources.
• Teach essential foreign language skills : reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Cultivate cultural awareness through language learning.
• Share your passion for Spanish to foster a community of confident speakers.
• Encourage engaging conversations in Spanish.
• Collaborate with the Spanish department to set academic and engagement goals.

Compensation

The salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $64,700 . Starting pay is determined by various factors, including relevant teaching experience and education certifications. Candidates without full-time teaching experience will likely start at $50,000.
