The University of Virginia (UVA) Community Health Anesthesiology Department is seeking an American Board of Anesthesiology certified or certification-eligible candidate to join our growing team in beautiful Culpeper, Virginia. Successful candidate will make a significant impact on our expanding program.

Ideal candidate :
- Call taking anesthesiologist who has experience with labor and delivery as well as basic general surgery and spine cases
- Experience or interest in a rural practice and enjoys living in a smaller town
- Subspecialty training is a bonus, but not required

Responsibilities :
Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related careBasic peripheral nerve blocksParticipates in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluationMedical supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)Formulates a patient-specific plan for anesthesia careImplements monitors and adjusts patients physiologic condition as appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patients needsTransfers the responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers post-operatively to assure continuity of care and patient safetySupports operating room proceduresParticipates in additional areas of responsibilityAssumes responsibility for professional development of self and contributes to and assists with the professional development of othersCall is taken mostly from home "pager call"What Makes Us Stand Out :
