Project Manager

Oneida Professional Services (OPS) is actively seeking a highly motivated, full-time Project Manager in Oklahoma City, OK. (This is an on-site position)

Location : Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) Aerospace Medical Research & Safety Assurance Division in Oklahoma City, OK

  • This position is contingent on the award of a federal contract

Compensation : $36 / Hour

Position Overview

The Project Manager works in close collaboration with Principal Investigator(s) to provide full-spectrum project and program management support across multiple research initiatives within the Aerospace Medical Research & Safety Assurance Division. This role is responsible for overseeing project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, progress tracking, and stakeholder coordination to ensure effective execution in alignment with FAA and interagency requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist and collaborate with Principal Investigator(s) on planning, execution, and oversight of research and programmatic efforts.
  • Review, evaluate, and make recommendations on proposed projects, research studies, and / or experiments.
  • Develop proposals, cost estimates, and detailed budget documentation to support project approvals and funding requests.
  • Draft and coordinate Statements of Work (SOWs) and Interagency Agreements (IAAs) with Government program managers.
  • Prepare comprehensive project plans, schedules, and cost projections for newly approved efforts.
  • Develop briefing materials, presentations, and status updates for program reviews and executive-level engagements.
  • Monitor and update project plans and performance metrics throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track spend plans, manage budgets, and ensure cost alignment with program objectives.
  • Maintain current project schedules and provide regular reporting on deliverables, milestones, and risks.
  • Serve as liaison to external agencies, academic institutions, and technical partners to facilitate collaboration.
  • Track study and experiment development activities to ensure technical and programmatic alignment.
  • Coordinate, schedule, attend, and facilitate meetings, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in professional activities such as collaborating on abstracts and manuscripts, supporting publication development, and representing CAMI at professional events and scientific meetings.
  • Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution in a relevant discipline (program management, public administration, life sciences, engineering, research management, or related field).
  • A minimum of 10 years of related professional experience, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating comparable capability.
  • Proven experience managing complex technical or research-based programs in a federal, academic, or scientific environment.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets, proposals, SOWs, and interagency agreements.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and federal agency stakeholders.
