As a Senior Cybersecurity Technical Manager at Capital One, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our Information Security initiatives, programs, and projects. Your practical understanding of risk and security will guide you in knowing when to bring in experts for escalation. You will collaborate and innovate with other teams within Capital One, pushing the boundaries of what is possible. A strong understanding of Cloud Service technologies such as Storage Services, Security and Access Control Management, Container Services, and API Implementation and Management is essential. Familiarity with various Cloud computing models including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, along with their architectural differences, is crucial. Key Responsibilities :
- Utilize your technical expertise to steer large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that align with business priorities.
- Engage closely with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to simplify complex issues and eliminate organizational barriers.
- Provide proactive Information Security consulting to business and technology teams, focusing on Infrastructure Security, Resiliency, Data Security, Network Architecture and Design, and User Access Management.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Capital One's Information Security capabilities, solutions, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Encourage clients to adopt security capabilities and solutions, integrating security earlier in development processes.
- Identify and manage cybersecurity risks effectively.
- Offer ad hoc support on urgent Information Security topics as needed.

Bachelor's Degree.3+ years of experience with compliance frameworks such as PCI, SOC2, or ISO27001.6+ years of experience in Software Security Architecture, Application Security, Threat Modeling, Penetration Testing, or Vulnerability Management.6+ years of experience securing public cloud environments and developing applications in public cloud settings.6+ years of experience with Cloud patch management practices such as system rehydration or image management.1+ years of experience utilizing Agile methodologies.1+ years of experience integrating SaaS products into an Enterprise Environment.1+ years of experience securing Container services.1+ years of experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Splunk.1+ years of experience in offensive or defensive security techniques.1+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry.AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is advantageous.This position will not offer immigration-related support for candidates. The role is based in McLean, VA, with salary ranging from $225,400 to $257,200, and other locations such as Plano, TX, and Richmond, VA, offering $204,900 to $233,800.
