Activity Aide

Serenity Spring Senior Living at Scandia Village is seeking a dynamic and caring individual for a Part Time position within the Activities Department. Experience is a plus. Individual must be willing to work every other weekend / holiday.

This position requires tact, sensitivity and professionalism due to constant interaction with residents and families.

Position duties include :

• Establish rapport with Alzheimer's / Dementia care residents and their families
• Develop approaches / interventions to meet the psychosocial needs of residents
• Collaborate with Activity Director to develop and run programming ideas for residents
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience with residents having dementia and appropriate therapeutic / behavioral interventions
• Must be able to work with a team
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect
• Must have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, creativity, patience and energy
