Position Description: ESS currently looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Benefits Manager to support our clients in the Benefits Department. The perfect candidate has great attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a desire for professional growth.This role is responsible for the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, COBRA, life insurance, flexible spending plan, 401(k) plan, etc.Duties/Responsibilities:Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.Prepares and processes claims, life status changes, enrollments, COBRA, terminations, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, loans, hardships, and compliance testing and other benefits filings.Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies resolves administrative problems with the carrier representatives.Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.Facilitates the renewal process of any health, life, and retirement plans.Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.Facilitates accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers.Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.Processes and administers disability paperwork.Responds to inquiries for information and provides forms, instructions, and other enrollment materials for employees.Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and facilitates benefits enrollment and administrative processes.Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.Enrolls employees with carriers and process.Required Skills/Abilities:Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, experience with HRIS and benefits databases.Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Education and Experience:Required:Associates degree in HR or related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.At least two years of experience in Benefits Administration.Preferred:Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field of study.SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification credential.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
