We're currently seeking dedicated  School Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant ($32-42 / hour)  to support  students in an elementary school  in the  Oswego, IL  area for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications :

  • Associate's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
  • IL COTA  license or eligible
  • Previous experience (fieldwork counts) in pediatric and / or school based therapy
  • Role Overview :

    As a COTA, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, working with the OT to develop individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

    Job Details :

  • Schedule : part time, about 20 hours per week billable, with a 30 minute lunch break
  • Dates : estimated August 14-May 22, 2026
  • Hours : based on school calendar
  • Caseload : general ed with some special ed, self-contained classrooms, to be discussed in interview
  • In-person only
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
