• PIV starts
• Chest tube management
• NGT placement
• Drain / tube management
• Foley insertion / management
• Medication drip management

Description :

The position is for an RN specializing in MedSurg / Telemetry.

The facility has 207 licensed beds and is not a teaching hospital.

It is designated as a Chest Pain Center and a Stroke Center.

Patient types include :

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 5-6, with a critical surge ratio of 1 : 7-8.

Support staff includes certified nursing assistants, a receptionist, and a charge nurse.

Phlebotomy services are available for peripheral blood draws.

The hospital employs a respiratory therapist and provides 24 / 7 hospitalist and intensivist services.

Telemetry monitoring and tech support are not available on this unit.

Technology and equipment used include EMR, IV pumps, medication dispensing systems, and cardiac monitors.

Float requirements may include all units within the region, depending on patient needs.

The schedule involves weekend rotations every other weekend with no call requirements.

Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays.

Requests for time off can be approved up to 6 days, excluding holidays.

The schedule is organized on a 6-week cycle.
