Job description

Overview

The IT Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all technology operations within LWMH. This role combines hands-on systems management with a strong advisory component — providing consulting, recommendations, and strategic guidance on IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology improvements.

This is a hybrid role based in Duluth, GA, with the ability to travel occasionally to company locations in South Carolina and Florida as needed for on-site assessments, deployments, or support.

A key early initiative will include migrating company systems and data from the Skyline environment to a new server infrastructure — either in-house or cloud-based — while ensuring a seamless transition, business continuity, and PCI compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Manage and maintain all company computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure (on-premise and cloud).
  • Lead the migration from Skyline to a new server environment, overseeing planning, data transfer, testing, and deployment.
  • Plan, configure, and implement a new on-site server, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Oversee computer asset management, including inventory, lifecycle tracking, and replacement planning.
  • Administer and maintain Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and backup systems.
  • Manage and support Apple Business Essentials and mobile device management (MDM).
  • Oversee network, VPN, and WiFi infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

Technology Strategy & Consulting

  • Provide expert consulting and recommendations on IT strategy, infrastructure design, and security posture.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and propose solutions to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Advise leadership on long-term IT planning, including hardware refresh cycles, cloud adoption, and compliance initiatives.
  • Serve as the technical lead and advisor for all major IT-related decisions and vendor engagements.
  • Software, Applications, and Licensing

  • Administer user access, permissions, and licensing for platforms including Slack, Adobe, Microsoft 365, ServiceTitan, and QuickBooks.
  • Coordinate website and domain management, including renewals, DNS, and hosting vendor relationships.
  • Manage business telephony systems (8x8, NGN, Spectrum Enterprise, AT&T) to ensure reliable communication.
  • Maintain and renew all IT-related licenses and subscriptions.
  • Security & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, MFA, and secure access policies.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures aligned with PCI DSS and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to ensure compliance and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Oversee data protection, backups, and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Vendor & Project Management

  • Coordinate and manage relationships with external IT and service vendors, ensuring SLA and compliance adherence.
  • Lead technology projects such as server migrations, network upgrades, or cloud integrations.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and make recommendations to leadership based on cost, performance, and scalability.
  • Support & Training

  • Provide first-line support for end-user issues, including hardware, software, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Train employees on IT policies, cybersecurity awareness, and system best practices.
  • Maintain detailed IT documentation, including network maps, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT management, systems administration, or infrastructure support.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure.
  • Proven experience in server setup, migration, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, WiFi).
  • Experience managing or coordinating Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
  • Working knowledge of PCI DSS compliance and implementation.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to South Carolina and Florida for on-site support and implementation.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceTitan, QuickBooks, and VoIP / telephony systems (e.g., 8x8, AT&T).
  • Familiarity with Apple Business Manager or other MDM platforms.
  • Experience in business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, or CISSP.
  • Background in multi-location or field service environments.
