About Grafton Sciences
Grafton Sciences is building physical superintelligence — systems that can experiment, reason, and make discoveries in the real world. Backed by $42.5M from ARPA-H, we’re designing autonomous laboratories that learn through interaction, not imitation. If you want to help invent the future of discovery itself, this is the place.
About The Role
We’re seeking a Program Director to lead several initiatives including our ARPA-H program and other scientific collaborations in disease and energy. You’ll translate ambitious research goals into execution — managing teams, partners, milestones, and compliance at the highest standard of rigor.
What You’ll Do
Oversee ARPA-H program strategy, planning, and deliverables
Coordinate cross-disciplinary efforts across ML, robotics, and biology
Interface with government and academic stakeholders
Ensure program compliance, reporting, and budget integrity
Help drive discovery by aligning science, engineering, and operations
Who You Are
PhD or advanced technical degree (or equivalent deep-tech experience)
Proven ability to manage complex research or engineering programs
Strong communicator who can move seamlessly between scientists and executives
Systems-minded, detail-oriented, and motivated by world-scale problems
Why This Matters
You’ll guide one of the most ambitious programs of our time — building the bridge between science fiction and scientific reality.
Compensation
Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentives and meaningful equity participation.
