Job descriptionSet up Necessary station(s) and perform assigned side work Provides immediate attention to all members / guests upon seating Assembles food on tray or Buffett from each station as necessary Serves meals; places dishes by courses in front of each person (if applicable) Checks back to ensure member / guest satisfaction; replenishes water, bar beverage, silverware and butter as necessary Removes soiled dishes Suggests and serves coffee after Dinner Service in an elegant manner Keeps tables, venue, coffee / beverage and Bus station areas clean Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Banquet Manager Protects establishment and Members / Guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Helps Members / Guests select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions. Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording Members / Guests choices and identifying Members / Guests special dietary needs and special requests. Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression. Serves orders by picking up and delivering Members / Guests choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars. Responds to additional Members / Guests requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs. Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of establishment and inviting patrons to return. Perform other tasks as requested. Ability to effectively communicate in English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to communicate effectively to Banquet Manager Excellent time management and Cleanliness General Knowledge of Wine, Table Etiquette, and ability to use respectful / professional rhetorical. High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years related experience required. Servsafe Certification RBS Training certification Physical Requirements : Prolonged periods of standing Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Frequent bending, stooping, pulling / pushing.
