Patent Attorney

Schmeiser, Olsen & Watts LLP is seeking a motivated, associate-level patent attorney to support U.S. patent prosecution in Mesa, AZ. You’ll work directly with inventors, founders, and in-house teams – enjoying both in-office collaboration and the flexibility to work remotely part of the week. This is an in-person role in Mesa, Arizona.

• What You’ll Do :
• Draft, file, and prosecute U.S. patent applications under the direction of a partner.
• Conduct examiner interviews and develop thoughtful IP strategies
• Collaborate directly with inventors and clients
• Work with a collaborative team using modern, streamlined systems
• What We’re Looking For :
• 0 - 4 years of U.S. patent prosecution experience (drafting experience preferred)
• Registered to practice before the USPTO, or exam-passed and pending registration
• Minimum bachelor’s (BS) engineering, CS, EE, ME, physics, or similar, and preferably master’s (MS)
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients
• Self-motivated, organized, and eager to contribute to a modern, growing practice
