Licensed Dental Assistant (Periodontics)

The Periodontal Center is a privately owned practice, with offices in Hudson WI and Woodbury MN, dedicated to providing exceptional comprehensive care in a patient-focused environment. We are currently looking for an energetic individual to join our supportive and skilled team as a Licensed Dental Assistant.

This is a 32-hour / week (fulltime) position, working Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, primarily in our Hudson WI location.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Assist the periodontist during exams, surgeries, and procedures
• Gather and record patient's medical history; take x-rays and intraoral images as needed
• Chart patient exam findings
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials as needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked

Required skills include :

Current Dental Assistant license in MN

Proven experience as a dental assistant is desired, experience in periodontics or oral surgery in a plus

Excellent communication and patient care skills

Good computer skills

Attention to detail

Well-organized and reliable

Additional certification or training is an asset (i.e., Minnesota Dental Assistant License, Nitrous Certification, Allied Sedation)
