Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Provide comprehensive legal counsel on all aspects of estate planning, including the drafting of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.

2. Represent clients in probate and family courts, and manage all aspects of estate administration.

3. Facilitate the transfer of assets and wealth between generations while minimizing estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.

4. Advise clients about planning for future elder care and potential Medicaid issues.

5. Work closely with clients to understand their goals and concerns and develop a personalized estate plan.

6. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.

7. Coordinate with financial advisors and tax professionals to ensure a comprehensive estate plan.

8. Stay updated on the latest changes in laws and regulations related to estate planning and family law.

Qualifications :

1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in the state.

2. A minimum of 1 year of experience as an attorney with a focus on estate planning, wills, trusts, and family law.

3. Demonstrated experience in fiduciary services and understanding of related legal issues.

4. Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make well-reasoned legal arguments.

6. High ethical standards and professional integrity.

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

8. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.

9. Certified in Estate Planning is a plus.
