POSITION SUMMARY
The Physician acts as the responsible medical authority as required by national standards, overseeing the delivery of clinical services while being primarily focused on patient care without additional managerial duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Graduate of an accredited medical school.Fully licensed to practice in the state of employment.Current DEA Registration.Preferred Board Certification.Fluent in English, with excellent reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills.A collaborative team player who demonstrates strong teamwork principles.Ability to make sound independent decisions.Skilled in tactfully communicating with a range of individuals, including personnel and the public.Possesses leadership abilities and supervises effectively.Non-threatening in terms of workplace safety.Experience in sub-acute inpatient care and hospitalist settings.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Consult with community medical providers to enhance service delivery.Supervise professional and paraprofessional clinical staff.Provide and manage on-call services.Review and approve clinical protocols and emergency plans annually.Manage referrals to off-site facilities for quality and continuity of care.Sponsor Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners in accordance with state law.Serve as a clinical resource to all medical staff.Assist with recruitment and credential evaluation of healthcare providers.Participate in training and development activities.Represent the healthcare program in community groups as requested.Attend various medical and clinical meetings as necessary.Conduct sick call, chronic care, and infirmary care as needed.Document all patient encounters thoroughly.Ensure accuracy in patient records and follow-up on communications.Adhere to prescribed therapeutic regimens and review non-formulary requests.Utilize in-house resources before referring patients off-site.Provide emergency care as required and respond effectively to urgent situations.Promote excellence in healthcare practices and uphold safety standards.Maintain competency in CPR and AED use.Follow evidence-based standards of medical care consistently.VitalCore Health Strategies is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace where all employees are valued for their unique skills and experiences.
