Your role as a Emergency Services Manager

The Full-Time Emergency Services Manager at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics embodies our mission, vision, and values through dedicated leadership and a commitment to quality patient care. You will adhere to all hospital and departmental policies, ensuring effective communication with the ED / EMS medical director while maintaining compliance with safety, infection control, HIPAA, and confidentiality standards. As the designated Trauma Coordinator, you will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees to enhance patient care delivery. This role also includes responsibility for managing time, attendance, and colleague accountability, as well as fostering staff competency and team building. By coordinating education for all provider levels in the ED and ensuring adherence to state regulations for both ED and EMS teams, you will demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to support front-line staff in achieving our collective goals.

What you need to be successful

To excel as the Full-Time Emergency Services Manager at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics, candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minimum of three years of supervisory experience, along with an active RN license in the state of Iowa. Key certifications such as TNCC, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are essential to ensure readiness for the demands of this role. An in-depth knowledge of ambulance and emergency room operations is critical for effective management and coordination.

Candidates should demonstrate excellent customer service skills, fostering a positive environment for both patients and providers. Familiarity with EPIC software is preferred, enhancing the ability to manage patient data efficiently. Strong leadership qualities, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are vital for navigating the fast-paced emergency services landscape while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Active RN license in the state of Iowa.
