We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring mechanical products and parts are at Whip Mix standards to ensure customers receive quality products with on-time delivery.
What you'll be doing :
- Perform complex First Part / First Article and work in progress inspection on incoming received and internal machined parts to determine conformance to specifications.
- Measure and document dimensional characteristics utilizing analytical, technical, and surface plate inspection methods.
- Perform standard quality control testing on designated chemical products and materials.
- Ensure product quality and follow quality procedures to take appropriate action when non-conformances are identified.
- Partner and collaborate with other areas in the investigation of non-conforming parts to determine root causes, corrective actions, and limited dispositions following standard quality procedures.
- Establish and maintain records as evidence of compliance with ISO and company requirements.
- Support the quality control and engineering departments with other duties.
What you'll bring to the table :
High School Diploma or GED required.3+ years of related experienceExperience in a regulatory manufacturing environment preferred, ISO 13485 standards is a plus.ASQ (American Society for Quality, Certified Quality Technician or Calibration technician preferred.Working knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T statisticsStatistical Process Control and Quality tools (DMAIC, Six Sigman, PDCA, etc.)
