The Escrow Officer is responsible for managing all aspects of the escrow process for residential and / or commercial real estate transactions in accordance with Texas state laws, regulations, and company policies. This role requires a deep understanding of escrow procedures, exceptional attention to detail, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to our clients.
Responsibilities :Manage and process real estate transactions from open to close, ensuring compliance with all Texas escrow laws and regulations.Review and interpret purchase agreements, title commitments, lender instructions, and other relevant documents.Prepare and explain escrow instructions, closing statements (including the Closing Disclosure), and other necessary documentation to all parties involved.Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient closing process.Obtain and review all required documentation, including but not limited to title commitments, surveys, appraisals, insurance policies, and loan documents.Identify and resolve title issues, encumbrances, and other potential problems that may arise during the escrow process.Prepare and balance final closing statements and ensure accurate disbursement of funds.Conduct closing appointments with buyers and sellers, ensuring all documents are properly executed and understood.Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical escrow files in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from all parties involved in the transaction.Stay updated on changes in Texas real estate law and escrow procedures.Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as ethical and professional standards.Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire closing process.May be responsible for business development activities and maintaining relationships with real estate agents and lenders.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications :Must possess a valid and activeTexas Escrow Officer LicenseMinimum of 2 years of experience as an Escrow Officer in Texas, preferably with experience in the Plano market.In-depth knowledge of Texas real estate laws, escrow regulations, title insurance practices, and closing procedures.Proficiency in using title and escrow software (Qualia).Strong understanding of the Closing Disclosure (CD) and TRID regulations.Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Professional demeanor and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.Skills :ProfessionalismCustomer ServiceOrganizationCommunication (written and verbal)Time ManagementMultitaskingAttention to DetailProblem-SolvingComputer LiteracyBenefits :Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, basic life, 401(k) with employer matching)Paid time off and holidaysJob Type : Full-time
