About Sigma Homecare

Sigma Homecare is a Michigan-based home healthcare agency that provides essential support to some of our state's most vulnerable populations. Behind every caregiver in the field is a small, dedicated team working to make sure everything runs smoothly - from scheduling and compliance to payroll and billing.

We're looking for a Payroll and Billing Specialist who values precision, organization, and teamwork. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-oriented tasks, problem-solving, and being part of a collaborative team that genuinely cares about doing things the right way.

What You'll Do

You'll be at the heart of our operations - ensuring accuracy across payroll, billing, and authorization management. Your work keeps our caregivers paid on time and our company in good financial standing.

Day-to-day responsibilities include :

Reviewing and verifying EVV visits daily and weekly

Processing payroll in iSolve (approving timecards, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy)

Managing billing for all payers (Medicaid, VA, private pay, etc.)

Tracking and managing authorizations, expirations, and renewals

Sending new or renewed authorizations to the Staffing team

Reviewing progress notes for accuracy before payroll submission

Working closely with Staffing to reconcile hours and shifts worked

Supporting audit requests and compliance reviews

Handling billing inquiries and resolving denials

Running monthly authorization reports and notifying the team of expiring authorizations

Uploading and submitting progress notes to provider portals as requested

Answering phones and assisting caregivers or clients with questions related to time, visits, or billing

Who You Are

You enjoy detailed, task-based work and take pride in getting things right

You like feeling accomplished at the end of the day and seeing your work make a difference

You're comfortable answering phones and talking to people about timecards, clock-ins, and other day-to-day needs

You enjoy working closely with other departments and being part of a supportive team

You're reliable, organized, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities with care and accuracy

What We Offer

Base Salary

Medical and Dental Benefits

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Fully Remote Team

Why Join Sigma

This isn't just a back-office role - it's the backbone of our care operations. You'll be part of a small, mission-driven team that values collaboration, accountability, and compassion just as much as accuracy.
