Job description

Are you a dedicated Psychiatrist seeking a locum tenens opportunity in Alaska? We are looking for a board-certified Psychiatry physician to provide high-quality inpatient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. This opportunity is ideal for a provider who enjoys making a meaningful impact on patients' lives while working in a beautiful and serene location.

Job Details :

  • Location : Near Palmer, AK
  • Start Date : January 6, 2025
  • Duration : Ongoing
  • Schedule :

Scheduled clinical hours plus call.

  • Call response time required : 20 minutes.
  • Setting : Inpatient consult liaison (no outpatient care required).
  • Patient Load : To be determined.
  • Specialty Areas :

    • Anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD / ADHD, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and more.

  • Familiarity with pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy required.
  • Support Staff : Details to be provided.

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certification : Required.
  • Licensure : Must hold a valid Alaska license or qualify under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
  • Certifications : BLS certification required.
  • Credentialing Timeframe : 60-90 days.
  • Experience : Preference for candidates with a fellowship or specialized training in Psychiatry.
