Job Description & Requirements Specialty : OR - Operating Room Discipline : RN Start Date : 10 / 29 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN with previous travel experience, a TX or compact RN license, and Cerner proficiency for day shifts with rotating call and weekend requirements. Responsibilities Work in the surgical department of a hospital with 17 OR rooms and 2 cysto rooms Patient cases include appendicitis, bone fractures, cholecystitis, subdural hematoma, hernias, and specialty procedures such as open hearts and neuro cases Scheduled for 8-hour day shifts, typically 0800-1600 Expected to work rotating weekend and late stay shifts, with one on-call shift per week and additional rotating weekend call every three weeks Floating may be required within scope of skillset Uses Cerner for charting; previous experience is preferred Navy blue scrubs required Main duties include circulating and scrubbing in a variety of surgical procedures, including specialty cases You may be required to stay late up to two shifts per week to support patient care First time travelers will not be considered for this position Holiday coverage and rotating call are required as part of the schedule Returning travelers must adhere to eligibility rules regarding prior assignments Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Current BLS certification required Prior travel nursing experience in the operating room is required Previous Cerner EMR experience preferred COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical or religious exceptions accepted) Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622173.
