About the Role
As a Fire Suppression Technician , youll install, inspect, and service fire suppression systems, primarily for heavy equipment and mining operations. This position is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude who takes pride in quality work and values safety.
Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated and dependable candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, and service dry chemical, clean agent, and special hazard fire suppression systemsInspect and replace tanks, cartridges, hoses, nozzles, detection loops, and control unit batteriesPerform semi-annual and annual system maintenance and testingConduct electronic and manual actuator tests to verify functionalityComplete detailed inspection logs and update system records accuratelyTravel regionally, with occasional overnight stays (up to a week at a time)Communicate with site planners and use mobile field service applications for reportingWhat Were Looking For
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power toolsExcellent work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervisionBasic computer proficiency and comfort using mobile appsCustomer-focused mindset with clear, professional communicationFlexibility for varied hours and on-call rotationValid drivers license with acceptable driving recordAbility to pass a background check and drug screeningExperience with mining vehicle fire suppression systems is a plusPhysical Requirements
