About The Position
Job Title : Echo Technologist

Hours per Shift : 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm; weekend call required, 1 on 4 off, Saturday and Sunday from 8 am.

License : Registered Cardiac Sonographer preferred
Certifications : R.D.C.S. or R.C.S. required within 1 year of employment; BLS certification required
Must-Have : Proficient in all imaging modalities of Adult Echocardiography, including Transthoracic Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo (TEE).
Description :
Seeking a full-time Echo Sonographer traveler to assist the Cardiology team.
The Echo Technologist works with the practice team to assist in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care.
This position involves preparing patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures.
Candidates will explain procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have.
Obtaining high-quality imaging and assisting physicians in interpreting data from images are essential tasks.
It is important to ensure that records are kept properly and to provide care through established standards.
The Echo Technologist must demonstrate clinical competence in all echocardiography modalities.
Providing patient and caregiver education and acting as a patient advocate in care delivery are critical responsibilities.
Candidates will provide age-specific, individualized care that supports protection from harm and the family unit.
Commitment to quality through maintaining knowledge and competency in echocardiography is required.
Exceptional customer service is expected in various interactions with patients and the care team.
The Echo Technologist will demonstrate competence in equipment performance, patient monitoring, and archiving studies.
Organizing exam rooms, setting up for procedures, and performing general office upkeep are essential duties.
Candidates should be able to multitask, remain calm, and support timely patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Collaboration with other healthcare providers regarding patient needs is a vital part of this role.
Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Maintaining proficiency in all echocardiography modalities is critical to this position.
Candidates must possess a current BLS certification, infection control knowledge, and meet all practice-specific skill requirements.
