The position is an appointment based at the Kansas City VA Medical Center and surrounding Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC's) within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. A summary of the broad distribution of time / effort is as follows : VA Cath Lab and inpatient interventional consults. Supervision of general and Interventional Cardiology fellow on the VA IC cardiology rotation. VA interventional clinic patients with fellows / APP, as needed. Expectation of adequate number of Caths per year and PCIs per year. Read TEE / TTE, ECG, and Holter / Event monitor as assigned. Opportunity for research, education and service. Cover the cardiology inpatient service and general cardiology consults, a duty shared with other faculty members.
