Position Responsibilities :
- Installation & Configuration : Installing, configuring, and upgrading CICS software and related products on z / OS systems.
- Performance Tuning : Troubleshooting performance bottlenecks, monitoring resource utilization, and optimizing system behavior.
- Security & Maintenance : Applying patches, managing system security, and ensuring the integrity of the CICS environment.
- Automation : Automating tasks to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
- Incident Resolution : Diagnosing and resolving system incidents and outages.
- Collaboration : Working with application developers, business partners, and other IT teams to implement changes and resolve issues.
- Policy Management : Defining and managing CICS policy rules to automatically respond to system events or excessive resource usage by tasks.
- Technical Leadership : Providing technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
Knowledge and Job Requirements :
Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related education is preferred.Requires familiarity with design, programming and maintenance of communications software and establishment of software standards.Must have effective utilization of computer systems including company and industry-related software for essential job functions.Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.Requires continued training to file structure and design, date base and / or date communications concepts, communications systems programming and access methods, advanced coding technique, and current system architecture, to perform successfully in the job.#HO
