Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level 1 trauma and orthopedic, neuro, and spine experience for a high-acuity surgical team in Ohio.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an 18-bed Operating Room within a Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Cases include General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Spine, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant surgeries
  • Maintain surgical patient records using Epic EMR
  • Day and evening shifts available with 8, 10, or 12-hour options, scheduled between 0630-2330
  • Participation in on-call rotation : Monday through Friday 2100-0630 and weekends in 12-hour shifts
  • Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for diverse surgical cases, focusing on Ortho, Neuro, Spine, and General Surgery
  • Close collaboration with a multidisciplinary surgical team is expected
  • Preferred experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, and Burns cases
  • Urgency in completing Ohio fingerprinting process is required immediately after contract signing
  • Holiday coverage may be required based on departmental needs
  • Dress code and orientation details will be provided upon assignment

  • Active OH or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
  • Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
  • Level 1 trauma OR experience and significant scrub experience required
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Two recent professional references required, including one from a supervisor, manager, or charge RN
  • Previous employees must have at least a 6-month break before eligibility
  • RTO (requested time off) must be declared prior to contract
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
