Polyglass USA, Inc. , a premier roofing materials manufacturer, has an opening for a Lab Technician located at our Winter Haven, Florida, facility. This position is responsible for routine non-complex sampling, testing, measuring, and accurate recording of test results as they are completed.

- Able to learn the list of competencies listed in the Job Competency Check Sheet for this position within the timeframe specified by the Quality Manager.
- Perform inspection and tests precisely as described in the applicable procedures and work instructions. This includes proper and safe sample collection and its preparation.
- Proper use and maintenance of lab instruments and test equipment, including the verification of their calibration status before use.
- Accurately performs electronic data entry of test results.
- Understands and interprets test and inspection results and communicates issues to management in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe working environment, following all safety rules and procedures, and report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or near-misses.
- Perform inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Detail-oriented to ensure reliable and precise test results and accurate record keeping.
- Understand and follow good laboratory practices; work in a safe manner, understand the location, purpose, and use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Able to apply logic and reasoning when dealing with problems with limited supervision.
- Must be persistent to accomplish a task or assignment in a timely manner.
- Works harmoniously and with tact and diplomacy when interfacing with co-workers, including other departments.
- Effectively plan and organize work to achieve efficient and effective results.
- Accepts the responsibilities and obligations of the job and the consequences of ones actions
What You Bring :
