Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, exempt Vice President of Student Affairs (VPSA). We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President to provide strategic oversight and leadership in the administration of a comprehensive range of programs and services for students. As the leader of our student affairs division, the VPSA will play a crucial role in shaping the experiences of our students and creating a supportive and inclusive community that promotes academic achievement and personal development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for student development, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and a proven record of accomplishment of success in a similar role.
The VPSA will be a transformational, equity-minded, student-centered leader capable of managing change and building collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to continue enrollment growth, provide impactful support services to our students, and close equity gaps.
This position serves as the chief student affairs officer, overseeing and strategically enhancing various student-related services and programs. These include student recruitment, enrollment and onboarding processes, financial aid, student records, academic advising, student life, retention services, disability services, counseling and health services, career services, grant programs, student conduct and care, international students, basic needs, veteran student services, student success coaching, and athletics. The VPSA is responsible for addressing student disciplinary matters and Title IX complaints and serves as a member of the threat assessment / CARE Team. Additionally, the VPSA leads and engages in strategic planning, promotes innovative ideas to improve productivity and efficiency, and continuously evaluates and further improves services within the Student Affairs division and the college. The role also includes serving on the oversight committees for Guided Pathways and Title III.
In addition to overseeing departments and programs, the VPSA plays a key role in the institution's strategic planning and decision-making processes. As a member of the President's Executive Cabinet, they collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure the institution's mission and goals are achieved while addressing the needs of the student body effectively.
The VPSA must be a creative problem-solver and have a collaborative and community-building leadership style, be knowledgeable of holistic student development theories, and have an understanding and appreciation for the mission of community colleges. Finally, the VPSA must have a demonstrated ability to engage with the college community at all levels (executive, administration, management, faculty, students, and staff) and the surrounding community. The incumbent should demonstrate unwavering commitment to academic and institutional excellence, prioritizing student success, and actively working towards reducing equity gaps.
The VPSA is expected to maintain a visible and approachable presence for students, staff, faculty, and the community. Successful candidates will contribute to a dynamic educational environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the institution.

SALARY / BENEFITS : Salary Range : $141,174 - $163,464 annually (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases .
